KURSUS LENCANA KEAHLIAN 2022
Due to the pandemic outbreak in 2020, the curricular activities in SMJK Yok Bin, Melaka has been suspended for almost 2 years. The pandemic has a devastating impact on curricular activities such as scouting. The cub scouts have a big gap to catch up the skills and knowledges. Therefore, in 23 July 2022, my friends and I took an opportunity to organise a course for our junior scouts in SMJK Yok Bin. During the course, we do a presentation to introduce about basic knowledges of scout.
I was in charge for the scout logos part. I explained the elements and the meaning of different colours in world scouts logo and Malaysia scout logo to the cub scouts. What is more, I do take part in teaching the cub scouts about different types of knots. A total of 6 different types of knots were showed and the function of each knot were explained as well.
There are a total of 95 participants in this Keahlian course. After the sharing session, a QnA session was carried out. The presenters and the audience have a chance to interact with each other. A few questions were distributed to the cub scouts. All of them were very cooperative and gave responses.
From this project, I found that it’s essential to pass the scout knowledges to the cub scouts. This can ensure the continuous movement of scouts and I hope that they were benefited from this course and able to pass these knowledges to their juniors as well.
