KSU Flamingo Rovers 47 as One Initiative

Having concluded a national election in Kenya there was need to champion for peace and cohesion among the Kenyan communities. In the previous elections; Post elections periods have been marred with violence and disunity among Kenyans due to tribalism and election parties; there was need to step up and restore the love and peace among the 42 ethnic groups in the 47 Counties by embracing various cultural and ethnical displays and integration.
The initiative conducted by Kisii University Flamingo Rover Scouts was aimed at promoting cohesion and unity among the 47 counties in the country through displaying, promoting and embracing the various cultural practices, foods, shelter, dressing and the ways of life among the Kenyan people. Scouts were able to integrate and embrace various cultural dances with members of the community. Scouts were able to display and appreciate the ways of life of diverse ethnic groups in Kenya.
First and foremost we need people with different life experiences so we can hear each other's stories, to add to them, to understand them, to disagree with them, to help people stop feeling self-conscious about bumping into other ethnic groups and help people feel there could be something richer if they integrate with other human relationships.
