The Senior Environment Club of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia organized a beach Clean Up in the village of Alankuda. Members and the commuters of that area took part in this programme. A coastal stretch of 3km was cleaned. It taught the villagers to care for the coastal area. I was proud to be a part of this project as the President of the Senior Environment Club.
