Investiture camp 2019-(13th hussars open rover scout group)

This was the Investiture Camp for all the newly joined members of 13th Hussars open rover scout group. Those who wanted to become a rover scout had to participate in this camp. Investiture Ceremony is the. time when a scout, by means of the words of the scout promise, publicly announces their commitment to the scout law. At the ceremony the scout makes the promise of the scouts and scouters of their patrol to all scouts of the world. Day 1 Every member/rovers participating in this camp had to report at metro on 6AM. Our journey to Mymemsingh started on 7 AM by bus. We reached their on 2PM. Our hiking started as soon as we reached at haluaghat bus stand , mymensingh. Then we got a code from SRM and we had to figure out the destination where we had to go using that code. After every patrol reached at Majrakura Highschool we started setting up tent for the night. Later that night we had a session and after having dinner it was lights off. Tents used on this camp were from WSJ2019 Day 2 Day started with BP Exercise and then some random games. After breakfast we had to get ready for inspection and parade. Then we had this back to back sessions about good manners and etiquette and rover program. After that we had to face another challange, as we had to go to several stations 7 to be exact , were in random places over the campsite . And the trick was that every member of each patrol has to participate in an exam based on a certain thing and get a signature after passing the exam and the patrol with the most signature wins the challange. After that everyone had lunch and then the Banalata challange started. The main theme of this challange was that each patrol has to find the given item/plant/insects at certain spot and had to give an presentation about that certain thing that the patrol has found. This challange were give to uprise our presentation skill. At evening we had a Football match . Tabujalsha/campfire were held later on that night and each patrol had to perform an stage performance. The night ended with New members participating in Vijil program. Day 3 It was the last day of our camp. Everyone woke up early as we had to pack up. everything and had to clean the whole campsite. We had no idea that their was a surprise waiting for us as the Local co-ordinator of Bangladesh scouts , SRM and our honourable Magnus sir and other senior teachers took us on a beautiful journey to Garo hill. For most of us this was the perfect opportunity to be this close to nature and we truly enjoyed each moment a lot. After that they took us to a picnic spot near the Mymemsingh border with Meghalay. The Investiture ceremony were held there. Most of the rover squire were promoted to Rover Member after taking scout oath . We returned to our campsite for the last time, took all our bags and utensils and after having lunch went for a long trip to Dhaka. Not only this camp was fun , rather we also leanred a tons of new things and it really helped the newly joined members to know more about rovering because most of us had no scouting experience. It really helped us to get back in the game #team13thHussars #roveringlife
