While the United Nations General Assembly has declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, the day was celebrated nationwide yesterday. This was done live online together with Hon. Narendra Modi where he was gathered with more then 10000 followers at India Gate Delhi. We were very fortunate that we had the opportunity to be face to face with Hon. Narendra Modi as we all embraced and followed a 1hour yoga lessons.
Various schools and centers were invited to be part of these different session from all parts of Fiji.
It has been an Indian government intiative that took up yoga sessions from 9th June 2016 to 24th June 2019 on a weekly basis with 3 sessions per week for the whole period between the mentioned days at Fiji Girmit Centre with a qualified instructor.
This has been a great experience to be part of this yoga sessions and improve ones spirtual, mental and physical health.
It was a fantastic day and complemented by the weather as well. We are thankful to the High Commission of India for organising this day and the whole year sessions.
