The scouts of Baylling Central School, Trashi Yangtse has initiated to celebrate the International Day of Peace on 21st September , 2018 at school level. The day has celebrated successfully without disturbing the daily program of the school. The program was divided to two segment. In the morning segment from 8 : 20 am to 9: 30 am, all the 569 students and the 37 staff members of the school gathered in the school MPH for the program. In the morning segment we carried the following activities;

1. Offering of Luyang Chhoepa( praising song) to His Majesty the king

2. Offering prayer for wellbeing of all sentient beings 

3. Lighting of 108 butter lamp 

4. Talk on background of peace day and importance of it 

5. Talk on Messenger of Peace

6. Dance of MoP song

Then students and staff, they went for daily school programs. At 3: 50 pm , when school hour ends,for the last segment of the celebration the scouts and Young Volunteers in Action club members went to Chorten Kora (stupa) which is about 3 Km away from school. 

At Chorten Kora, we performed the following activities;

1. Clear the bushes 

2. Cleaning work

3. Hoisting the prayer flags

The day ended with presenting the songs and yells, which shows everyone is in peace.
