International Coastal Cleanup Drive 2026
Our inspiration came from the need to protect our oceans and keep our beaches clean and healthy. As students and Scouts, we felt responsible for creating awareness about plastic pollution and marine conservation. Participating in the International Coastal Cleanup Drive gave us an opportunity to contribute to the community, encourage responsible waste management, and inspire others to protect our environment.
We executed the project by bringing together students and Scouts at Besant Nagar Beach for a coordinated coastal cleanup. Participants collected plastic, waste, and other litter from the beach, segregated the collected waste, and promoted awareness about marine pollution. Through teamwork, environmental awareness activities, and responsible waste management practices, we contributed to creating cleaner and healthier coastal surroundings.
Through this project, we learned the importance of teamwork, environmental responsibility, and community participation. We understood the harmful impact of plastic and waste on marine ecosystems and the need for proper waste management. The cleanup activity strengthened our leadership, coordination, and communication skills while inspiring us to adopt sustainable habits and encourage others to protect our environment.
