"Integrated Friendship Development Amongst Minor Ethnic Group" was the project from APR which is implemented by Bangladesh Scouts. The main purpose of the project was to increase the visibility of scouting in Bandarban District and also to strengthen the friendship among the scouts. According to project proposal the following activities were implemented by Bangladesh Scouts at Bandarban District: i) 25 scout units, 67 Cub units were provided total scout uniform ii) Light Training equipment and training gear were distributed among 40 scout units, 150 Cub Scout units. iii) An ICT center was established at District Scout Building of District Scouts Headquarters Bangladesh Scouts, Bandarban district scouts with the following items : 05 (Five) Computers, 01(One) Multimedia Projector, 01 (one) Laptop, 01(One) Printer, 01(One) Scanner, 11 Chairs, 05 Computers Tables, 01 Projector Table were purchased to set up ICT center. 01 (One) Trainer is being recruited run the ICT training programs. iv) A friendship camp were organized at Bandarban Collectorate School, Bandarban from 05-08 May 2016. All of the scout and cub units from Bandarban were invited to attend the camp. 40 Scout units, and 70 Cub scout units from different sub district level attended the camp. v) Bangladesh Scouts, Bandarban District arranged 03 training courses in district level and 07 Upazila of the district arranged 07 Training courses at upazila level on Health and Nutrition for Scouts. vi) After the Training courses the participants disseminated the message on health and nutrition to non-scouts and local people through house to house and school campaigns and rallies. The Project has developed the bridge of peace among the different ethnic group including. It has brought the positive changes in the lives of the people of the hill track areas. Now they realize that scouting is really creating a better world. This was a pilot project for Bangdarban Hill District. The result of the project is encouraging. The success of the project can be replicated to other two hill districts which may benefit a larger segment of the people through scouting. With further steps, image and visibility of scouting will scale up through MoP.
