
INIGAN OUTREACH PROGRAM - Walk the World
OUTREACH NARRATIVE REPORT
At 5:00 a.m. the Scouts met up at Roosevelt College Inc.-Rodriguez Campus and left on a jeep bound to Wawa by 5:30 a.m. The Scouts hiked in a single file line carrying the goods they’ll donate to the beneficiaries of Inigan Elementary School.
After an hour of trekking, the Scouts finally arrived at Inigan Elementary School. The students and faculty members greeted the Scouts and the other benefactors warmly as they held a sign saying : “ Welcome Visitors “. A short opening program ensued, Mr. Avelino Santos gave an enthusiastic opening speech and was greeted with joyful laughter from the students and teachers alike.
The Scouts then helped with handing out food, school supplies, and toys to the children. They also facilitated in giving fresh pairs of slippers to the pupils. In addition, the scouts also partook in a class rotation where they would teach children an array of lessons ranging from hygiene to arts.
By 2 o’clock, the Outreach was concluded with a closing program. The Scouts went home the same way they went to Inigan.
