It was my Eagle Scout Service Project in which, my team and I built an information kiosk to raise awareness about the different factors in the environment in the school forest, as well as provide a useful teaching aid for the classes that use the school forest as their classroom. The kiosk frame is built out of 4x4s and the roof is made out of 2x4s and 2x2s. It has Plexi-glass windows to protect the information and the roof is shingled. I estimate that it will not need to be replaced for another 40+ years, due to the treatment of the wood and the stain. The project was an overall success, and the school has thanked me personally for building this kiosk for them.
