Improve the health of people living on the street

The people who live on the street are the most vulnerable community to communicable diseases due to a lack of awareness, proper hygiene and sanitation access, and inability to get from the market. Scout has observed the severe challenge experienced by the people living on the street and strived to make a valuable contribution to ensuring the health and wellbeing of the vulnerable community.
The project was executed by coordinating a pool of Rover Scouts - collect clothes, bedsheets and shoes from the community and provided to the selected beneficiaries - mobilise financial and in-kind sanitation and hygiene material - facilitate awareness creation program titled " personal sanitation and hygiene" - disseminate sanitation and hygiene material to the target community - trimming nails, trimming hair, and bathing people who have disabilities, mental illness and senior citizens
- more than 1,500 people have directly benefited from the project by receiving sanitation and hygiene items, clothes, shoes and bedsheets - the project beneficiary have got aware of personal hygiene and sanitation - more than 1500 people living on the street have improved their health and being protected from communicable diseases due to a lack of sanitation and hygiene
- the project implemented has had a great opportunity to involve in hygiene and sanitation initiative - developed strategy to manage huge beneficiaries
