Impedulo PS - Literacy in Action
The project aimed to address an urgent need for literacy support, helping learners improve reading and writing skills while fostering confidence. The Yeboneers wanted to make reading meaningful and accessible, ensuring learners could apply skills to schoolwork and everyday learning.
Learners participated in reading exercises, vocabulary building, short story writing, and library activities. Yeboneers guided them through comprehension tasks, dictionary use, and creative expression while accommodating different learning styles and behaviors.
The adventure reinforced the value of patience, flexibility, and clear facilitation. Learners improved comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence in reading and writing. Yeboneers gained experience in making literacy interactive and meaningful, and both learners and facilitators enjoyed the process.
