Day-5: Implementation of SDGs.

Series of Webinar on I’m a Global Citizen of 5th Day was started with General Salute to the Chief Guest followed by the BSG Prayer. Welcome Speech was presented by Mrs. Kumud Mehra Assistant Director, Southern Region, BSG. The  Chief Guest of the 5th Day Webinar as Mrs. Dr. V. Vijayalaxmi, National Commissioner (Guides) cum Additional Commissione, KVS. Resource Speaker of the day was Mr. Jeevan Babu, IAS, State Chief Commissioner, Kerela cum Director General of Education, Govt. of Kerela.

Chief Guest in her address appreciated the National Headquarters to roll out so many activities during this hour of Crisis of Lockdown due to COVID-19. She further urge the participants to focus on SDGs and to love and respect the nature and implement the SDGs on priority at local level.

 Resource Speaker Mr. Jeevan Babu, IAS, State Chief Commissioner, Kerela cum Director General of Education, Govt. of Kerela, gave the lecture presentation on the implementation of SDGs in details and its inception since 8 Millennium Development Goals. He further state that the SDGs are the Blueprint for Future. SDGs are associated with 5Ps viz. People, Planet, Partnership, Peace and Prosperity along with the various indicators.

 Daily quiz on the slido.com  was conducted by Mr. KK from Nagaland. Presentation on the project report of SDG i.e Quality Education were present by Mrs. Monalisa Das, Ranger Leader Odisha  and Shubam Singh on Clean Water & Sanitation. Both the presentation were really inspiring for us.

Mr. Manish Chandra Upadhyay presented on the Feedback form of this Webinar on I’m a Global Citizen in details. The last date to submit the webinar is on 15th June 2021.

The 5th  Day Webinar was adjourned with the proposed of Vote of Thanks by Mr. Bablu Goswami, Assistant Director, Eastern Region, BSG, NHQ.

The MCs of the Webinar were Ms. Priyanka Prajapat, Young Women Ambassador from Rajasthan and Mr. Shubam Singh.

Day-6: OYMS AND History of Scouting and SDGs.

Series of Webinar on I’m a Global Citizen of 6th Day was started with General Salute to the Chief Guest followed by the BSG Prayer. Welcome Speech was presented by Ms.Shivangi Sexena Assistant Director, Central Region, BSG. The  Chief Guest of the 6th Day Webinar was Mr. Shyamal Kumar Biswas, National Commissioner Scout (Adult Resources), BSG India cum Additional Commissione, KVS. Resource Speaker of the day was Mr. Jeevan Babu, IAS, State State Commissioner Scout West Bengal but unfortunately he couldn’t joined virtually and the Resource Speaker were Mr. Jitesh Sheth, Dy. National Commissioner (Rover), BSG, India and Mr. Krishnaswamy R. Executive Director, BSG,NHQ, India.

Resource Speaker were Mr. Jitesh Sheth, Dy. National Commissioner (Rover), BSG took the 1st Session on Online Youth Membership System (OYMS). He briefly explained the OYMS on WHAT,WHY &HOW OYMS in Scouting, Its advantages and requirement for the advancement of any member of the National Association of BSG. Later the practical demonstration was presented by Mr. Bablu Goswamy, AD, Eastern Region which was the curious part of the participants. 

Mr. Krishnaswamy R. Executive Director, BSG,NHQ, India as Resource Person took the 2nd session on the History of Scouting and SDGs. It was a wonderful session in which he minutely deliberately how our scouting activities are fully related with the SDGs since from the foundation of the Scouting Movement by Baden Powell. He briefly delivered the presentation comparing the Proficiency badges and other Scouting Activities with the 17 SDGs thoroughly.

Daily virtual Quiz was presented by MS. Priyanka Prajapat, APR Young Women Ambasador from Rajasthan which was most excited moment of the webinar.

Ms. Aayushi Gupta, Ranger Larder, Delhi presented the project report on the Freedom of Education which they undertook in their locality for under privilege and dropout children.

The 6th Day Webinar was adjourned with the proposed of Vote of Thanks by Mr. Analendra Sharma, Assistant Director, North Eastern Region, BSG, NHQ.
