The third day’s webinar's Chief Guest was Shri. J C Mohanty, International Commissioner(s) BSG- India. Sir opined that what young people can do for promoting sustainable development is to sensitise people to do advocacy for Sustainable Development, choose the goals and contribute to extirpate the hardships faced by people.
The Guest Speaker was Ms. Neha Shaw, Director& CEO –Dame & Earl LLP and co-founder, Board of She addressed the participants on the topic Role of Young people in implementation of SDGs. She opined that contributing to the SDGs is not by waiting for an opportunity but to start right away from the immediate environment. The first step is to analyse the problem, then think of ideas to solve the issue and implement the best possible ideas and measure the result. She also clarified the doubts of the participants pertaining to their roles as global citizens.
Dimpy Talukdar, Ranger from Assam shared her experience of her contribution in the society towards the realization of SDGs. Pradeep Kr Pradhan also shared his experience of working towards providing quality education to slum children and organizing various programmes for them.
Himanshi Tomar gave a bird’s eye view of the benefit of being a U- Reporter and urged everyone to become a U-Reporter. Arup Sarkar, Deputy Director, Scouts expressed his gratitude to all for their participation and contribution for making this webinar a success. It’s a wonderful webinar sensitizing the participants to be the advocates of SDGs and contributors towards better world framework.
