Iftar distribution day 2
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar. For Muslims around the world, Ramadan is an important month for fasting and prayer. In Ramadan, Muslims embrace a sacred rhythm, fasting from sunrise to sunset. Through fasting, they feel the discomfort of hunger and thirst, which serves as a reminder of the daily hardships faced by the poor and hungry. Which became my ultimate motivation to distribute food among the unfortunate
This project was done by a foundation called "Aqeeq" and the volunteers of that foundation. And the funding was done by the volunteers. 20 volunteers decided to contribute by distributing the food and help the struggling people of our society.
I learnt more about the hardship of poor people who are sometimes unable to consume food, the hardship of not being able to afford food. I learnt to empathise more with people in need throughout this project.
