Iftar Distribution

Donating to the needy improves society by addressing poverty and hunger while fostering kindness and trust. During Ramadan, we noticed many people in our community going hungry even after fasting all day, so we distributed food to 120 individuals in need. This act not only provided immediate relief but also allowed us to understand and assist with the struggles faced by our fellow citizens.
The Opartheeb Foundation, with 20 volunteers including myself, executed the project. We pooled funds internally, formed committees to purchase food and water, and organized into teams of 3 led by a leader each. Together, we distributed food to the needy before Iftar.
I learnt more about the hardship of poor people who are sometimes unable to consume food, the hardship of not being able to afford food. I learnt to empathise more with people in need throughout this project.
