Iftar Distribution

Ramadan is a holy month for muslims. During Ramadan Muslims observe a strict fast from dawn until sunset. When we break our fast, we call it "Iftar". There are so many people who cannot afford their basic need such as food. To understand their sorrow and empathise with them, that is what gave me the inspiration to distribute Iftar among the needy to break their day long fast.

The project was executed by Opartheeb Foundation. 20 people including me from the foundation volunteered for this project. We collected fund among ourselves. Then a committee was formed individually to buy food and water. Then at the day of execution, we formed into a team of 3 with a leader on each team. Then we all distributed food among the needy before Iftar's time.

I learnt more about the hardship of poor people who are sometimes unable to consume food, the hardship of not being able to afford food. I learnt to empathise more with people in need throughout this project.
