If You Can, Then You Should.

It was on my 12th birthday and just months after our school activity, I lead where there were 2 days to spend outside campus to this camp, and one of the activities was to feed home for the street children with only 200 pesos. Because of that activity, realizing how tight money is compared to other families, I realized how privileged I was to think that the Php 200 was not enough to feed 50 people because for me it was just lunch money for 2 days but for them, it could feed them a whole week.
It was implemented in the Parian Drop-in Center for Street Children. We did it by buying 100 Jollibee meals, and 50 loot bags for the kids, so as with games and prizes.
I was able to help the kids smile even for a day, and the leftover uneaten food was left to them so they may eat it for the next following days. Because my mom has posted it, it has inspired many others from family members to friends to do the same thus more visited and provided. It may not have made such a big impact to the community nor to the kids but I was glad I was able to make them happy and enjoy life pleasures kids their age should experience.
I learned the value of money, love and family. I would make it much larger next time so that I don’t just help one area but multiple areas instead.
