The Home of Hope is an NGO that provides facilities to children with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. The Home Relies on a small government fund and the work of volunteers. The 1st Blaauwberg Sea scouts dedicated 40 hour of service to the Home. The scouts renovated the garden, by diggin up the area and replacing the garden with good soil and compost. The scouts also assisted in fixing and varnishing the garden shed, benches and jungle gym.
