On this day, a small patrol of 8 Scouts from 10th Petaling Scout Troop conducted their 8km hike for their Usaha badge supervised by 2 Assistant Scout Leaders on their first hike. They were assisted by another 6 facilitators from the Court of Honour and potential Rover Squires. The hike led them from the starting point (base) which is the Scout Den at SMK Sultan Abdul Samad, towards police stations, hospitals, LRT stations and major parks to learn about landmarks of the area. They also practiced some sketching, interviewing skills, orienteering, map drawing as well as other hard and soft skills along the way. The biggest thing is that they learnt about road safety as well as following rules to stay safe. They had fun, and are excited for the next part of their journey.
