Helping the young adults to grow in Mozambique with the Scouts Game

Every year we choose in our Rovers (18-22 years) group a relevant Service to give to Community. In 2011-12 we choosed to develop social little farms in order to use land that is free to agriculture. We have done it in Sintra, Portugal. For 2012-13 the Group wanted a new service challenge: why not do this social farms in Mozambique where people will need that most? And the "Moçamborta"project started. We found a NGO that was working already in Nampula, Mozambique in a School with 1500 students that include na agricultural school and land ready to be worked and developed. That will be our challenge during 6 weeks in Mozambique, providing the motivation and the knowledge to work the land in a good way, using the Scout Game and Patrols to compete with each other. We will also provide training in portuguese and also computers, helping them to build their own website and blog.  We arrive there on 1/8/2013 but the project started really in 2011!
