Helping the Cyclone Amphan Affected People

Helping the Cyclone Amphan Affected People

We the people of South Asia especially Bangladesh and West Bengal have to face so many natural disasters every year. Among them cyclone is the one for which every year huge amount of loss occurs. Few days before Cyclone Amphan damaged the lifestyle of so many people. But this it was not same due to COVID-19. As a result so many people were deprived of getting the government relief. But we tried to do something for these kinds of people by staying at home. We campaigned through Facebook group and collected funds through mobile and online banking where so many expatriates along the people of our country donated some money. Then we contacted with some of our known local people and some influential persons of that area; they were also interested and co-operated with us a lot. We collected information's from them and with their help we successfully delivered their household materials as a part of compensating their losses by staying at our home. •Main medium of fund raising process was Facebook Group. •Collected funds through bkash, roket and bank accounts. •Used MoneyGram, Western Union to collect funds from abroad. About 1043.65 $ was raised from our fund. We, in collaboration with those local people who helped us to contact with the homeless people, completed our activities.
