Hartebeespoort Dam and related waterways clean-up

After the January floods in the Upper Crocodile River, our Scout Group mobilised to clean the flood Plaiin on the Western Bank and assist with making the Hiking Trail safety for visitors
Co=ordiantion of activities with Cub to help in the assessment and identification of Invader Species (plant and animal) Collection of Waste material from flooded waterways and disposal of rubbish to Reccyking sites
10 When working with very young (08-11 years old) small achievable steps are needed and continual motivation to keep them interested. Parental support is essential. 2) More community awareness on the actions and activity 3) Self-funding (for meals and equipment) is really hard 4) More time should be spent with all other stakeholders on scenario planning in the event of a similar disaster, (we tried to engage too early while flood plain was inaccessible)
