HANGGANG SAAN AABOT ANG 100 PESOS MO?

HANGGANG SAAN AABOT ANG 100 PESOS MO? (School Supplies Donation Project) In the City of Bacolod, most of the students enrolled in public elementary schools, especially those in the lower sections are incapable to buy their own school supplies. Their families are considered to lie below the poverty line and thus, they can’t provide sufficient school supplies needed by their children to effectively pursue their education. The lack of resources and school supplies are just some of the reasons why some students aren’t motivated to continue going to school. Because of these prevailing circumstances, the Messenger of Peace Initiatives (MOP) and the Eagle Scouts Organization of the Philippines (ESOP) of the Boy Scouts of the Phil. - Bacolod City Council will conduct a project that will aid and support the students in pursuing their education. As a part of our service towards nation-building and the pursuit for better education, the “Hanggang Saan Aabot ang 100 pesos mo” project was established to give aid to those financially handicapped students who are incapable to sufficiently provide their own school supplies. It is a product of the contribution of the members of the scouting movement, various school organizations, volunteers, and other concerned citizens. The aforementioned project will be able to provide 8 writing notebooks, papers, pencils, and other school supplies to each of the beneficiaries. The MOP and ESOP will serve as a pathway for any donations given and in any way, it will not be done in the name of the organization but from each of the sponsors of the project. We, as members, will make sure that any donations/sponsorships given will reach the beneficiaries. Through this cause, we believe that we can inspire and motivate these young and bright students in continuing their education regardless of poverty and scarcity of their resources. Your 100 pesos (Or 100 Pesos worth of notebooks, Pencils and Papers) can go beyond more than you could just imagine! This project will serve as a calling for us, my fellow scouts and scouters; let us extend our helping hands to our less fortunate brothers and sisters. Date of Distribution will be on June 11, 2016.
