HAKUNA MATATA

Our project, driven by a commitment to environmental conservation, aimed to convey the Uhuru Torch 2023 message to Mount Kilimanjaro. The 25 scouts symbolized dedication, covering 167 km from Arusha to Manyara, aligning with SDGs and concluding National Youth Week at J.K. Nyerere's birthplace. Our inspiration stemmed from a responsibility towards the environment, community, and a sustainable future.

Motivated by environmental commitment, we meticulously executed a project with 25 scouts. Coordinating with local authorities, we ascended Mount Kilimanjaro, delivering the Uhuru Torch message. The 167-kilometer hike involved careful planning, logistical support, and community engagement, contributing to success. Coordination at Manyara aligned National Youth Week and Uhuru Torch peak, combining expertise and collaboration for effective conveyance.

The project's impact encompassed heightened environmental awareness, unity, and national pride. It left a lasting impression on participants, communities, and the broader society.

Meticulous planning, stakeholder engagement, and adapting to challenges are crucial. Unity, environmental awareness, and honoring heritage amplify project impact.
