Guides and Rangers make a difference

We decided to undertake this project as a part of the Tide Turner challenge. We found a need in our community at a local park which was in need of some care.
We dedicated ourselves as a company to looking after a local park in our community. We cleaned it up and adopted a small garden patch. Our cleaning effort extended to a small river on the property. This was the final activity that we had to complete to achieve the Tide Turner challenge badge which we began working on in April of 2020. we completed as many of the activities as we could online and continued with the practical ones as soon as we were able to hold safe, in person meetings again.
We hope that our project has made an impact on the people in our community. The park is clean and our adopted garden is a beautiful and peaceful place which we hope that members of the community will enjoy.
We all learned valuable skills from this project. We all learned to work together as well as how to care for and foster delicate ecosystems. Our younger girls learned the basics and importance of gardening and caring for plants; while our older girls grew to understand the importance of continuous care and keeping environments clean.
