Green Odisha-2022
Green India Mission was launched in 2014. Unfortunately the project could not have 100% success. Only 30-33% of the goal could be achieved. So being the responsible citizens we, the members of OSBSG has started the project namely “Green Odisha”.
First of all, we had issued a circular to all the units to participate in this project. 130nos. of participants from different corners of Odisha joined the project. throughout the period we taught them how to work on this project. They got trained about plantations and how to take care of the saplings till they grow up. we also provide handouts that will help the participants to continue the project in their locality. They were also guided on how to collect saplings free of cost from different sources, especially from the government level. The sample format of the application was also given. They were also instructed to monitor and submit reports. Technical persons like DFO, Forest Conservator etc. were invited to inspire the participants with their valuable talks.
The camp has really great impact on the participants as they showed their interest to plant trees. Encouragement was reflected in their behavior as an aftereffect and it can be hoped that each participant will certainly inspire others to do the same.
From this, it is learned that practical-oriented theory sessions have a greater effect to inculcate a concept in the learners.
