GPS for Youths

I was invited by Ms Phuntsho Wangmo, a GPS trained teacher and Mr. Kailash Rai, the scout focal of Yoeseltse HSS to support Ms Phuntsho Wangmo to train 80 Scouts on the basic use of GPS technology.
We trained the scouts on use of mobile application to share their respective GPS coordinates during emergencies and needs. We also had a practical session with a very short hike in the neighborhood where the participants also provided community service (cleaning the surrounding of their local temple.)
The GPS lesson is essential for everyone especially youths. Through GPS skill we are preparing our youths for the emergency situation such as human trafficking and rescue operations. The GPS skill can also be used in daily life for navigation.
