GO GREEN WITH SEED BALLS
Troubled by the loss of bio- diversity and dwindling green spaces, me and my like-minded group members trying our best to take this initiative for our planet. Seed balls are affordable, sustainable and an effective conservation tool for establishing vegetation in different areas.
The process of making Seed Balls is an interesting and innovative activity and distributing the seed balls to nearby and distant places is the most amazing activity. We took the help of goods trains, buses and trucks.
In Odisha, IndiaI have executed our project with my team members.
Not only that through this project I am able to raise awareness among my students ( more than 1000), not only the rovers and rangers but also the localities about deforestation and afforestation.
We have prepared 20,000 seed balls (seeds of Neem, Debdaru, Black Berry, Mango, Jack fruit). As we know the success rate of seed balls are eighty percent the growth success rate may be 16,000 or more.
I learnt from this project that with joint collaboration with other institutions and NGOSs we can achieve our goals.
