The Local Units- Government Senior Secondary School and Himalayan Model School of Anni, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India-had planned to present the Gift of Cleanliness to our beloved Lord and Lady BP by cleaning the Bus Stand surroundings of the town but the God of Rain had different plans. It started raining as soon as the troops were ready to move. Plans were torn apart but the motto, 'Be Prepared' inspired us to celebrate in a totally different way. We the adults decided to let the Scouts and Guides get a little deep in the thoughts of Lord BP. We gathered in a hall with a big LCD screen and flashed the collection of the quotes from BP. The groups were also shown the videos of BP addressing them. The 'Messengers of Peace' initiative awareness was also the part of the show. In between the Scouts and Guides presented the colorful Cultural Programmes, that too without any rehearsals. When rain stopped, the groups insisted to clean the school campus and made a mark and again BP showered his blessings in form of rain. Although the pre-plans were almost washed away but we all will remember the day for a long. Salute to beloved BP for the gift of Scouting.
