FOOD FOR LIFE PROJECT PHASE 2 (2)-KENYA

FOOD FOR LIFE PROJECT PHASE 2 (2)-KENYA

In this phase, i focused on basic management practices to ensure seedlings growth in an organic way.

I introduced drip irrigation using plastic bottles which will help during collection of rain water and ensure that there is adequate water supply to the kales that i planted in phase 1.

Applied ash to regulate the soil pH and ensure that there are no pests to tamper with the seedings.

In this stage i also put into practice some nersery management practices like reducing weeds by uprooting, pricking out , and shading to avoid the seedlings being pale.

I prepared more seed beds of root  and leaf vegetables as stated in the first stage  this project. they include beetroots, carrots, more spinach, cabbage, corriander and lettuce.
