The day of the camp, Scout gather at Bakoteh Annex lower basic school and then depart at 9:30am in the morning. They first visited the Tanji fishing center and the Ice plant, and also fishing boats. From their they proceeded to Gunjur village and visited the village head "Alkalo" concerning the history of the village, because the village use to be a great historical center since during the time of slave trade. Then they proceeded to katong village and spend the night at the lower basic school.  The following day in the morning, they visited the village Head (Alkalo) and have some dialogue with him concerning the history of the village. At 11:00am, they visited the Reptile farm and then the crocodile pool. After taking lunch, they visited the border between the Gambia and Senegal. The third day of the camp, they went to meet the Village Head called ALKALO. Finally, they went back home. The next would be at the upper river region. This excursion was so important for the scouts especially those doing history in school because it helps you in your research projects.
