Environmental Stewardship Help For Park Visitors With Disabilities

We are BSA Varsity Team 314, Sam Houston Area Council, Arrowmoon District from College Station, TX.  Though we are brand new and small in number, our unit has a firm belief that every small good deed contributes to the world in which we live.  So, in addition to community projects we always ask every location where we camp how we can be of service to them.  At Lake Livingston State Park a big storm followed by a severe drought killed a large number of trees which then either fell or were cut without regard so that they completely blocked a number of hiking trails including a wooden handicapped-accessible boardwalk trail.  Our unit cleared what limbs and debris we could carry, and then hauled lumber to spots along the trail that needed repair.
