ENGAGED YOUTH

the beach of GRAND-BASSAM is infested with several plastic and other waste, and it is clear that people have resumed in a worrying way the phenomenon of piling up garbage bags near this beach, and also they do not hesitate to unscrupulously throwing their waste into the water, This is causing more and more piles of trash everywhere and people are not doing anything to remedy this. This is how the NGO BLUE 💙 Côte d'Ivoire, decided to devote a day to collecting plastic waste and other waste.
In order to carry out the project, we first solicited the help of the people of BASSAM and we gave them bags and gloves to actively participate in the collection. Then the collection is done over a period of 4 hours and young and old have spared no effort to carry out this project.
nearly 150 people who are local people have benefited from this project. this project had a considerable positive impact because the populations understood that the beach is not a "GARBAGE"
as a lesson, I learned that plastic pollution is a real phenomenon that deserves everyone's attention, so becoming aware of this scourge will help to eradicate it.
