Ending HUE: IDP-MoP Webinar on Bullying & Racism
Ending HUE was conducted on September 24, 2000 via Zoom Application with 100 participants. The webinar had three (3) sessions as follows:
- "Hala! Tawag ka sa Guidance Office." Breaking the Stigma on Guidance & Counseling which aimed to understand the role of guidance and counseling in helping solve issues on bullying and racism. The resource speaker discussed: (a) Fundamentals of Guidance & Counseling: What, Purpose, Functions; (b) How can Guidance & Counseling help in addressing issues of bullying and racism?; (c) How can a student ask for help from Guidance Counselors regarding bullying and racism concerns?; and (d) Existing Philippine Laws on Anti-Bullying and Anti-Racism.
- "Walang Bully at Racist sa Scouting" Scouting: Safe & Inclusive which aimed to explain how Scouting is an inclusive Movement and Know how to address Bullying & Racism in Scouting through the Scouts Safe From Harm. The resource speaker discussed: (a) Diversity and Inclusion in Scouting; and (b) Safe from Harm.
- Ending Bullying and Racism the MOP Way which aimed to Determine how young people can help in solving bullying and racism issues through the Messengers of Peace Initiative. The resource speaker discussed: (a) What is the Messengers of Peace Initiative?; (b) How to start the MOP Journey?; (c) How can young people contribute to addressing the Bullying and Racism issues?; and (d) Overview of Dialogue for Peace.
The webinar helped raised awareness on bullying and racism and engaged the participants to take an active role to end the culture of hate and suspicion. Specifically, the webinar was able to (a) recognize guidance and counseling as a support system and clarify its role in cases of bullying and racism, (b) impart knowledge on cultural diversity and discuss Diversity & Inclusion and Scouts Safe From Harm as Scouting support systems to address bullying and racism; and (c) provide understanding on differences as a key factor in tackling bullying and racism issues and identify how young people can contribute in solving bullying and racism problems through the Messengers of Peace Initiative and Dialogues.
