"Embroidery to Improve the Quality of Life"

Through the Messengers of Peace support fund, West Sumatra Provincial Scout Headquarter tried its best to react upon problem of productive age unemployments by facilitating continuous embroidery trainings for the youths. Four instructors were coming to teach 30 participants on how to design and stitch embroidery patterns. The youth also learned some basic skills on management and enterprise that hopefully can motivate them to start their own business so that they will become independent and no longer depend on others. The embroidery products were then sold in a stall located in Ngalau Payakumbuh, one of the most potential tourists destination. From this activity, 30 participants who joined and follow the series of training could learn how to make use of the skills to earn their first income and support their families
