Elevating Arab Region Empowerment & Excellence
The project was initiated to strengthen and expand the impact of the Messengers of Peace initiative across the Arab Region. It focuses on mobilising young people to contribute to the SDGs, strengthening the capacities of National Scout Organizations through WOSM Services, and supporting good governance and quality Scouting through GSAT. Through these efforts, the project aims to create stronger national organisations and enable more effective Scouting initiatives across the region.
The project was implemented through four interconnected areas of work across the Arab Region. Messengers of Peace was promoted through regional communications, events, translation and impact stories, while Scouts for SDGs activities engaged young people through regional workshops and follow-up support.
The project showed the importance of realistic planning, continuous follow-up, and clear coordination with NSOs. It also highlighted the value of tailoring support to each NSO’s needs and closely monitoring implementation to keep activities on track.
