Eid gifts distributed to disabled children

We were inspired to start this project by the desire to share the joy of Eid with children who are often overlooked—especially those with disabilities. During Ramadan, while many prepare for celebration, we felt it was important to include everyone in the spirit of giving and kindness. As Scouts, we believe in serving others and promoting equality, and this project was a way to bring smiles, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
We executed the project by first forming a team of Rover Scouts to plan and coordinate with a center for disabled children in Rupganj, Narayanganj. We raised funds from local donors and used them to purchase Eid food items. After careful packaging, we visited the center during Ramadan and distributed the Eid gifts to over 180 children, spending time with them and creating a joyful, inclusive celebration.
Here’s a short and meaningful paragraph you can use for the **“Project Learnings”** section: --- Through this project, we learned the true value of empathy, teamwork, and community service. We realized that even small efforts can make a big difference in the lives of others. Most importantly, we learned that spreading joy and inclusion is a powerful way to build peace and live the values of Scouting.
