ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF SCOUT GROUPS IN MALAWI
Scouts play a vital role in developing responsible and disciplined leaders in society. However, they often face challenges that hinder their progress. I believe that with proper support, scouts can achieve even more. Through the #tickettolife, a flagship program of the World Organization of the Scout Movement - WOSM, We successfully launched Socio economic empowerment of scout groups in Malawi and the scouts are geared for a meaningful initiatives in their communities.
We invited the scout groups from different districts to attend the launch of the project. We also invited the invitation to other organizations like Waste Advisors, Art Malawi and we also extended an invitation to the government officials. The District Youth Officer (DYO) of Blantyre expressed his admiration for the initiative saying "These skills are vital for our nation's growth, and involving youths in this initiative will tap into their untapped energy," he noted.
