Eastern Region Scouts Camp

Eastern Region Scouts Camp

This was very first of its kind, a scouts camp to be conducted so far in the Eastern Bhutan comemorating the fifty years of Bhutan -India Friendship.  More than 400 participants gathered for the camp where a diverse scouting concepts and scouting skills were imparted to the scouters during a week long camp.

The base messengers of peace(MoP), introduced scouters to MoP projects on www.scout.org. where they can upload community developmental projects.

Base Leave No Trace(LNT) gave skills and techniques of being friendly with the environment .

Adventure base taught them the survival skills qnd should be cheerful under all difficulties.

Base culture  and traditions, gave them hand on experience about ones culture and traditions.

Jangsem Monday base oriented scouters of the scouting law.... A scouts is kind to animals and loves nature. JM pledge where all scouts agreed to go meatless once in a week.

A day and night programmes kept scouters entertaining and thrilling for a week dispite of coldness yet it never mattered for scouting battled such odd weather.

The event was a great grand success to be hoisted for the first time in the eastern region and proudly I can say, I was a part of the camps success.....
