Earth hour-Change the way we live♡

Effect of waste problem: The environmental impact of this behaviour is significant: the clothing and textile industry is depleting non-renewable resources, emitting huge quantities of greenhouses gases and chemicals . Earth Hour- Change the way we live was the theme. Cothes waste was becoming a big problem .People were not aware of what to do with their old clothes. My teacher motivated me to take up this challenge to make reusable bags from the old clothes.
The event occured at Jigme Namgyel lower secondary school .We brought Our old shirts or curtains , needle and thick thread. We were taught how to do it by Tarayana club members . After learning from them we the scouts who learned taught our other friends who taught other scouts , and the circle began.
It benefited more than 300 students who didnt know how to sow and didnt know about clothe waste. Parents became more aware of what to do of their old clothes. Doing more earth hour sessions with more scouts on different waste produced by us.
I learned that not only plastic waste but also Clothe waste is very harmful for our Mother Nature so we should come up with more ideas to manage waste and we should be responsible for our own waste.
