Earth Day 2026: No Plastic, Clean Planet

On Earth Day 2026, we were inspired to take meaningful action against plastic pollution in our own community. Our goal was to create awareness about the harmful effects of plastic waste and encourage people to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly.

Our team carried out a "No Plastic" cleanliness drive at Nilkantha Park and its surrounding areas. Volunteers collected plastic waste from lawns, pathways, corners, and nearby roads, ensuring a thorough clean-up of both the park and its outer premises. We also interacted with local residents and spread awareness about reducing plastic use and maintaining a cleaner environment.

The project showed us that collective action can bring visible change to the environment. We learned the importance of teamwork, community participation, and consistent efforts in reducing plastic pollution. It also strengthened our sense of responsibility towards protecting nature and inspired us to continue promoting sustainable habits in our daily lives.
