Dzaleka Refugee Camp Tree Planting Initiative
We started this project to protect the environment and address the effects of climate change in Dzaleka Refugee Camp. We were motivated by the need for more trees and a healthier environment. Our goal was to encourage community participation and create a greener future for everyone.
The project was implemented through collaboration between the Burning Fire Scout Group, Tumaini Letu Organization, community leaders, police officers, village chiefs, and secondary school students. Scouts and volunteers prepared the planting sites, dug pits, carried water, and planted trees in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
This project taught us the importance of teamwork, community participation, and caring for the environment. We learned that working together can create a positive impact and help protect nature for future generations.
