DURGA PUJA SPECIAL CLOTHES & BREAKFAST DRIVE

I was highly inspired from the Robinhood Army, a zero-fund organisation that provides food to the needy. Its motto "SERVE THE HUNGRY CITIZEN" motivated me a lot to work and do something for the society.
I am a rover scout and I belong to North 24 Parganas(Barrackpore Local Association). Taking much inspiration from the Robinhood Army, a zero-fund organisation that serves food to the needy, I along with my team members decided to provide food packets containing luchi, alur dom, sweets and boiled eggs to approximately 120 people in and around Debpukur Area. Also, on the occasion of Durga Puja, we also bought some clothes for the little ones so that the festival is joyous for them as well.
By carrying out the same, I was able to help out 120 needy people with a day's breakfast so that no one goes to bed without eating. The kids were immensely happy upon receiving their new dresses for the puja.
I've learnt that when you donate food or feed the needy for atleast a day or two, the amount of satisfaction you get from within is immeasurable. You also get to motivate many of the people living around you so that some day in the future they can also do something for the society.
