Drug education for elementary children

I wanted to help my old school out on their budget when I heard that we could get the local DEA involved in giving a drug prevention assembly geared towards the children in the 4th- 6th grades.  I approached the principal Chad Honig with this proposal and my dad helped me.  We worked on the content of the power point that was going to be used and the speaking points with the DEA agent Kevin Wilson and came up with a date.  We originally were going to try to get this done during the DEA's red ribbon month in October, but the dates avaliable just did not allow for the event to happen in time.  After getting everything done and set up, we had the assembly on the 15th of November 2012.  I recieved many thanks from my old teaching staff as well as the students that were involved in the assembly.  There were approximately 350 students that got educated on the dangers of drugs that day.
