Donating Equipment to Uplift levels of Scouting
Scouting is widely spread over many schools in Sri Lanka but many rural schools do not have relevant equipment. Sole Maha Vidyalaya is one of them. So we thought of donating tents, uniforms, books, woogles, compasses, maps etc. to them which will benefit them for their Scout journey.
This project was implemented at Sole Maha Vidyalaya. Our RIS Scouts, under the leadership of our Senior Scout Ravindu Yasith and under the guidance of our School Scout Masters, visited the school with newly bought Scouting equipment like tents, maps etc. and donated them to the Scout Group of Sole Maha Vidyalaya and also at the end of the day both schools organized a campfire together in order to strengthen the friendship bonds.
Scouting is a practical subject, therefore relevant materials are necessary. Through this project, the Scout Group of Sole Maha Vidyalaya will raise a new step in their journey of Scouting. And also we got a chance to build new friendships and a campfire experience in our life.
Through this project, we learned how sharing and caring are important and we also proved that Scout is a brother to all other Scouts.
