DISTRICT LEVEL EXECUTIVE MEET

One day Conference on Scouting held in Ganderbal GANDERBAL, JULY 27: A day long Conference regarding the informative course for the Institutional heads of the education department was held in the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat here today. The programme was attended by the District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla (IAS), MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, State Chief Commissioner J&KBSG, N.A Khan, State Training Commissioner, Muzaffar Hussain Tramboo, District Secretary, Sheikh Mohammed Shafi, PRO Shah Aijaz, Scout leader and President awardee Haroon Malik and all other office bearers of the BSG, Ganderbal. The programme was organized by The Jammu and Kashmir Bharat Scouts & Guides (JKBSG) Ganderbal with all the logistical support from the district administration. The programme emphasized basic information regarding the work and functioning of the JKBSG. Dr. Piyush Singla was with honour inducted in the organization as the Senior Vice President, JKBSG, Ganderbal where as Abdul Hamid Sheikh (Principal, GDC) and Mohd Afzal Sheikh (Chief Eucation Officer) were inducted as vice presidents. M.Y Hafiz was taken in as the zonal commissioner, Kangan. The oath ceremony of the inducted officials also took place during the occasion. Deputy Commissioner while appreciating the participation of the heads of all the Govt. educational institutions, stressed upon them to introduce and register their respective schools for the voluntary mission of JKBSG. He also assured all the support and help from the district administration to strengthen and flourish JKBSG in the district. While speaking on the occasion, MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar who is also the President Bharat Scouts and Guides, Ganderbal highlighted the importance of providing a progressive, safe and enjoyable learning environment for the Scouts in order to enhance their physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual potentials. State Chief Commissioner, N. A. Khan apprised the conference with the need, importance and the benefits of imparting JKBSG trainings in the schools for the proper physical, mental and moral growth of the budding students.
