The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Unit Udhampur (UT JK) today went to various banks of the city and distributed masks and sanitizers to the needy. The program started from Jammu Kashmir Bank,Housing Colony. Customers who came there queued up first. After this, masks were distributed to the needy. Scout master Amar Dev Singh told that after this we will go to Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India etc and distribute masks, sanitizers etc. to the people. Scout master Avinash Thapa helped people to fill bank forms and instructed them to follow social distance. Scout Master Rakesh Sharma said that Bharat Scouts and Guides is ready to serve the people during COVID period. We are making people aware about COVID and distributing food items, masks, sanitizers etc. to the needy. State Commissioner Mr. I.D. Soni appreciated the work done by the unit Udhampur and told that today the whole world is suffering from Corona pandemic and people are sitting in their homes but even then our Scout-Guides are excited about their duty in this Pandemic. They are giving their services and coming out as Corona-Warriors and helping different agencies in maintaining social distance, distribute hand sanitizing to the needy people especially in Villages and slum areas.
