Distributing Sanitary Napkins on Independence Day
15th August is a very special day for every Indian. After all it's our independence day. On the day of independence, we tried to work together with one of our local club where we distribute some sanitary napkins, with some light food, face masks and sanitizers to those who are underprivileged and financially unstable and don't have a proper idea about all these things. At the end of the event after almost 4 hours, we left with the hope to build a world with women empowerment.
We were planning the entire thing for few weeks but we didn't able to figure out an appropriate date for it to inspire more people to do the same thing even on a larger scale. We choose our independence day simply because to ensure every woman empowers the world and our priorities should be not to divide but to unite every single thing in a proper place where it should be. We established a counter and placed everything there whatever we had with us and distributed everything for 4 hours long.
There were almost 200 people whom we distributed all the basic needs of every woman. The majority of the crowd belongs to the level where either they don't have enough education or they don't have enough money. So we planned why not both, and that's where it all started. After sharing the benefits of using it we discovered it's mostly Happened because of lack of education so we started conducting a session in every month to ensure that problem shouldn't occur again.
As I mentioned earlier, after a certain stage I realized the lack of education and clarity is the culprit for such unhygienic atmosphere. We initially thought it would be financial problems for them initially but later the entire thought process changed. Yes, we feel a bit of relaxed to help them in a manner but at a same time we knew it just started and the expectations level has been lifted up. Now it's our duty to live up to what they are expecting from us.
