Digital Thumbprint Program Workshop
In these times of a technologically innovated generation, it is incumbent upon us to become responsible in our actions whether online or offline. There are etiquettes to be followed and ethics to be observed when using the Internet. This vast technology world indeed provides us anything we need in just one click, so let us make sure that before we click, we must think a thousand times.
On the 14th day of January 2017, Mr. Karl Lyel B. Lim, the Circle Manager of Roosevelt College Rodriguez Rovers spearheaded the "Digital Thumbprint Program Workshop", sponsored by Globe Telecom, Inc. The main aim of the program is to educate as many Filipino youth (Scouts included) on the importance of responsible use of the Internet.
The Digital Thumbprint program offered three exciting modules for the participants:
1.) Digital Insight - provided activities for students/scouts to help discern proper online behavior
2.) Digital Impact - tackles issues on technology's impact on students'/scouts' social activities
3.) Digital Ambition - equipped scouts with skills on how to use technology to help them achieve life goals.
Each module was designed to increase the scout’s knowledge of digital citizenship and cybersafety by taking a critical look at their online behavior and helping them develop insights into the influences of the online world and the choices they are making..
The said seminar is participated by observers from Affordable Private Education Center (APEC) and by various Senior and Rover Scouts with their respective Adult Leaders from different schools in Rodriguez and in nearby cities and municipalities namely:
